WELCOME to East Fairview Church!  We’re glad you came and hope you experience a warm welcome. Relax and worship…you’re among friends.  We hope our fellowship, singing, prayers, and study of God’s Word will be a blessing to God and an encouragement to you.  

The offering is a weekly opportunity for our members and regular attendees to give their tithes and gifts to support the ministry of East Fairview Church.  Please record your visit in the black attendance folder located in your row. 

The church nursery (which is available for children up to age 4) is located in the main hallway, past the restrooms, on the left.  Please feel free to entrust your children to us for this hour. 

Children’s bulletins and other resources are available on the Children’s shelf in the back corner of the sanctuary.

Ladies Sewing Day will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20th.  There are many comforters to knot and fabric to cut.  Bring lunch.  Beverages  will be provided.  Come out and enjoy the fellowship!. 

WHERE’S THE BEEF!?  Your help is GREATLY NEEDED in the Farm Show stand!  There is a sign up sheet available at the Welcome Desk to help out in the Farm Show Stand the week of October 3rd-7th.  See Greg Berkey or Jody Gibble with any questions.

LOVE FEAST AND COMMUNION is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 2nd at 7:00pm in the large fellowship hall.  All Christians, whether you are a member of this church or not, are invited to join us in remembering the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Messenger…the official monthly publication of the Church of the Brethren is available for you to read.  We have two church copies of Messenger (one in the library and one in the revolving rack) for you to borrow and then return.  Please feel free to read them and become more familiar with what is happening in the Church of the Brethren

Text Box: Hospice of Lancaster County is looking for volunteers to support patients and programs, particularly those who might be willing to care for or visit with patients in their homes. Volunteers also serve in their inpatient centers, welcome visitors and families, help with clerical tasks and support other programs.

             *Evangelism & church growth in the EYN Church

             *The conflict between Muslims and Christians

             *The persecution of the Church

Homes of Hope Mentor Workshop

Date: October 1st            Time: 8am-4pm           Place: Love INC Office Manheim Homes of Hope needs mentors for its emergency housing program!  At this time we only have one trained mentor couple.  To be a mentor you must complete a mentor workshop like the one being held on Saturday, October 1st.  This simple workshop is designed to empower you to use your gifts and talents to serve others through relationship in the Homes of Hope Emergency Housing Program.  Please contact Pastor Jimm if you are interested or have any questions about this.  The registration deadline is September 23rd. 

Anyone desiring to become a member of East Fairview Church should contact Pastor Jimm.  We are planning to receive new members on Sunday morning, Oct. 2nd during the Worship Service worship.

Senior Adult Activities

Brethren Disaster Relief Auction booklets are available in our lobby and throughout the church building.  Please pick one (or two) up for yourself and for anyone else you think might like to know about the auction.  On page 18 you will find a schedule of all the various auctions and activities that will take place on Sept. 23rd & 24th at  the Lebanon Valley Expo Center.  Hope to see you there! 

For those of you who like to bake there are empty pie plates at the information desk waiting for you to fill them. 

Volunteers are needed to sort music here at the church.  The dates are Tuesday, Sept. 27th, Monday, Oct. 10th, Tuesday, Oct. 11th and Thursday, Oct. 13th.  Times are 9am-12 noon or 1pm –4pm.  See Betty Nauman to sign up.

Some people have asked for more than just the words on the screen to the newer songs we are singing in worship.  Beginning next Sunday, September 25th, there will be music available at the Information Desk for some of the songs we will be singing that morning.  Please stop by the desk on your way into worship and pick up the music.  We will be doing this on a trial basis.  Also, in order to make good use of resources, please return the music to the Information Desk after worship

New Sunday School Classes will be beginning in September.  Flyers are posted around the church with descriptions and more details. Classes are from 10:20am to 11:10am.
