WELCOME to East Fairview Church! We’re glad you came and hope you a warm welcome. Relax and worship…you’re among friends. We hope our fellowship, singing, prayers, and study of God’s Word will be a blessing to God and an encouragement to you.
The offering is a weekly opportunity for our members and regular attendees to give tithes and gifts support the ministry of East Fairview Church. Please record your visit in the black attendance folder located in your row. The church nursery (which is available for children up to age 4) is located in the main hallway, past the restrooms, on the left. Please feel free to entrust your children to us for this hour.
Children’s bulletins and other resources are available on the Children’s shelf in the back corner of the sanctuary.
Special Response Hearings In 2009, the church of the Brethren Annual Conference received a query and a statement as items of business related to homosexuality. That Conference identified these items as matters of such controversial nature that they referred them to a special response process previously approved for such matters. This process asks our districts to hold hearings during the coming year to (1) listen to each other and (2) share information for Standing Committee to prepare recommendations to the 2011 Annual Conference regarding these two business items.
Annual Conference Special Response Hearing Schedule for ANE:
Monday, October 18 7:00-9:00pm Lititz COB
Monday, October 25 7:00-9:00pm Palmyra COB
Anyone is welcome to attend a special response hearing, but our district office needs to know how many people to plan for. Please sign up for Palmyra before October 19th at the Welcome Center if you plan to attend.

The weather "best guessers" believe October will be colder than September and November colder than October. Just in case they are right, East Fairview will be having another blanket month in October. This time you can donate money to purchase blankets or bring a new one to church. All blankets will go to the Lancaster Co. Council of Churches for their winter support of the homeless and less fortunate. PLUS, bonus! We are also collecting socks for Water Street in October, bring pairs of socks to church and they will go to people with toes who need a clean new home.
Collections will take place the first four Sundays of the month...then the last Saturday anyone from church is encouraged to help us deliver all the blankets and socks in the morning and maybe we can stop for lunch together afterwards.
We are in need of 28 2-Liter Soda Bottles in two weeks. Please place them under the Mailboxes. Also, We are in need of CD’s for a craft for our children’s program. Please bring in any used or unwanted CD’s you might have at home. There is a collection case at the information Desk.
