History

In late June 2005, the Turn Around Task Team gathered for the first time at Ephrata Church of the Brethren.  We shared about our experiences as part of the Church of the Brethren, our hopes, dreams, and desires for the denomination today and for the future.  In two subsequent meetings, we sharpened our mission as a task team into a statement of purpose which is explained further in this brochure.  Meeting for the day at Camp Swatara in August, the task team covenanted to a process of discernment and prayer for churches in our district.  The team set out a specific timeline and action steps for which to accomplish the goals of our stated purpose.  The team has begun work on these action steps and looks forward to the process of listening to what the Spirit is saying to the churches of the ANE District.
